I started my early fishing days as a young boy of 7 going to lakes with my Uncle who was a mad keen carp angler. He used to set me up on the waggler and I used to fish for hours for small Rubb and Perch. At the age of 12 I used to fish a local river called the Wansum catching all kinds of species and enjoying the beginning of a sport I so love today.

I only coarse fished until I was around 20 until I found the world of big carp chasing J… I had some memorable catches in my time: Double figure Tench, Double Figure Barbel, 2lb + Roach and Rudd, 3lb+ Crucian, 25lb+ Pike but this was all stopped in its tracks when caught my first 20lb carp on a float rod and from that day I was hooked!

I have fished many venues up and down the country meeting some really nice guys along the way, making a lot of what I would now call really close friends. Recent years have seen my personal fishing slow down and my competitive side come out entering a lot of pairs competitions BCAC, UK Carp Cup and the Four Seasons Carp Cup (which I am the lucky owner of)..
